Russ Joyner gave the ex Baines Racing Laverda 750 Formula another outing on 5th September 2009 at Snetterton in two Thunderbike UK races. Starting from the back of the field in the first race, Russ stormed thorugh to finish fourth and then used the front row start to lead the second race until a missed gear robbed him of a podium with another fine fourth place finish.

Michael Saunders rode the Inzane bio-fuelled Laverda 650 Formula rather stylishly in a BMCRC Minitwins race at Cadwell Park in August. Michael carved through the 40 strong field of Suzukis, taking the 14 year old Laverda into 7th place before sliding off on the last corner.
Michael Saunders led more than 30 SV 650s in some style.

Inzane carried the logos of the UK's only domestic bioethanol manufacturer, British Sugar, at the Oulton Park BMCRC meeting in June. British Sugar manufactures 70 million litres of bioethanol per year at its Wissington Factory in Norfolk . Proving that the fuel is an excellent fuel component as well as being cleaner and greener than fossil fuel, Russ Joyner delivered a close fought second and a third in the minitwins.

....but it was close! Russ Joyner finished fourth in the first Minitwins race at Brands Hatch, putting him on the front row for the second race which turned out to be the closest race of the meeting. Glynn Davies and Dan Hopkins battled for first place throughout the race, with Glynn finally pipping Dan at the finish by less than 0.1s. Unfortunately for Glynn, Russ had slipstreamed him out of Clearways, crossing the line 0.04s ahead to take a memorable win!
